It was nice going down memory lane - seeing a lot of the old photos. Was a regular at the Valley back in the 70s as my dad (Denny) did a lot of engine work for various crews. Fond memories of the Duchess County Diesel team. Dick Hansen winning 5 sportsman races in a row. Dick also won at Accord - with an flat inside front tire almost the entire race. Also remember Dickie Larkin winning both sportsman and modified races in the same night. My brother may have some old pictures from dad. We had a few hanging at the old homestead.

These pics were terrific. It brings back many memories from the days gone by. I have stories which are associated with drivers of the past. A great experience which I will do again and again.

Don,
Welcome to our site. As far as membership, you are now a member. Viewing was enough.
Contributing is a little more difficult but encouraged. If you have any photos, story's to go with the photo's, comments or additions to pages we already have posted, we would love to use them to build on our historic archive of Lebanon Valley Speedway and northeast drivers world.
Thanks

Just found this site and not sure how to become a member, but I drove the yellow #731 in the 60s. 70s and had a ball. Always a learning process.
I read Jack Fahrquar comment and I do remember him. Especially one muddy rainy night, we were the only two cars out on the track and we kind of raced each other to the fans delght. Remember that Jack? We had fun but my pit crew didn't like cleaning up the muddy mess we made of our cars.
I haven't seen any older pictures of this era and would like to. Will keep trying. I drove for 4 or 5 years and was constantly learning, but I took one night off, just one damn night, and even tho my partners promised to leave the car parked they brought it to Lebanon anyway. So Dick Hanson was driving and did well, and that marked the end of my driving career. They voted me out of the drivers seat and after that I just lost interest.
Don Clark
