The Back Story:

Sheffield, Mass pilot Danny Watson is pictured here with the John Schuman owned #10, with which the combo scored countless victories.  After Putting up decent numbers with the inferior equipment, the duo possessed previously, This tandem went out and purchased the latest and greatest rage in northeast dirt racing, and picked up a brand new Troyer Mudbuss.  In an era when the support division was meant to cater to the low budget racers, they along with the likes of Richie Burgess and Jim Rajczi, started wheeling out what was then unheard of brand new “factory” modified quality racers to compete with every Saturday night.

Danny, pulled off an extreme rarity back before Mod drivers regularly double dipped into the 358 (then sportsman) division, He bagged both the Small Block and Big Block feature in the same night back in 1985 aided by his Ford powered Shuman big block.  To my knowledge, the only person to have done that in the same Saturday Night in that era was another southern Berkshire native, a fellow by the name of Dickie Larkin.
