The Back Story:

Top: Jeff Fluery made his mark at LV, that boy bagged 4 LV wins in a 1 year span, incredible numbers by today’s standards.  The Fluery’s really made an impression at LV, starting with Old Man Arnold, and the two boys, Jeff and Mark recording a serious amount of victories between the two of them in the then Sportsman and Modified divisions.

Jeff did all his winning between June of ’75 and July of ’76, so my Guess is this picture is from July 1976, a true golden era of the competitors at LV.

Second: Fantastic shot of some close racing between Jeff Fleury, T.C. and Russ Blake through turns 1 & 2.

Third: Former Jackie Wilson-Joey Lawrence #16 Modified. This car dominated the Lebanon Valley Opens in 1972 as well as picking up an early season win at Nazareth Pa., with a fuel-injected Big-Block Chevy and Jackie behind the wheel.

Fourth: Really nice picture of the J&F mustang fastback of Jeff Fluery.  Along side Jeff’s car is the other Arnold Fluery mount, the big ass coach of Bobby Leach.

Fifth: Another great shot of the former Jackie Wilson #16 as mentioned above.

Sixth: Looks like Jeff is parked on the outside of the backstretch either done for the day, or possibly awaiting D.I.R.T inspection, which was always an event in itself.

Seventh: A+, just a fantastic photo of Jeff Fluery aboard what may have been the only Burnett Chassis at LV on a regular basis, on the high side of Chuck Ely.
