The Back Story:

Top: Looks like a very early in his racing career picture of Walt Mckay with his signature #311 I dug out for LVC visitor Bill C. who commented on how he got started working with the great one, Walt.  Thought he might like that.

Second: Walt McKay in an interesting, yet very attractive #311.  Walt was a great competitor at the Valley for numerous years.  Walt always competed in the Valley’s support divisions, in this case, the “sportsman division”, which later morphed into the 358 division as we know it now.  When Howie Commander started a new affordable small block division for DIRT back in 1987, he brought back the “sportsman” moniker, and Walt was a winner in that division in 1991 with his familiar #311.  A well deserved party ensued afterward.

Third: Pretty sharp looking ride from crowd favorite Walt McKay from back in 1982.

Fourth: Hey, when did Walt not drive his own 311?  In 1976 I guess, when He was behind the wheel of this beast!
